The customer:

Leisure Logix, LLC is founded and led by seasoned travel   and   technology   executives   from   companies including   Sabre,   Amadeus,   Worldspan, General Electric, Delta Airlines and LasVegas.com.

Business Case:

Despite   the   overwhelming   size   of   the   travel industry,   there   is   nothing   online   that   offers personalized,   integrated   road   trip   and   route planning with reservation capabilities and extensive travel   information   and   activities.   The   company wanted to develop an online solution that will cater to 85% of the US traveler that use road.

The Solution:                                                         

RoadTrip   WizardTM,   is   a   highly   personalized   road trip  planning   tool   for   any   travel related   or   affinity Web   site.   It   is   equally   applicable   for   a   traditional travel agent or call center representative.  The   consumer   version   of   the   product   offers   our complete toolset for end to end  journey planning. Power   Labs   developed   the   core   modules   of   this  “RoadTrip   Wizard”   portal,   including user         registration, sign in, travel iterenaries, journals, etc. 

Press Highlight:

RoadTrip Wizard TM, a new travel and navigation services  company,   was   named   the   winner   of   the   “Spotlight   on Travel   Industry   Start ups”   workshop   at   the  PhoCusWright   Conference   (Nov   12­15,   2007,   Orlando,Florida)

Key deliverable(s):

The key deliverables   of   this   project  were the  rich user   interface   completely   based   on   AJAX, integration   with   external   systems like   decarta   to display   the   maps   and   customizing   various   key functionalities of liferay.

Execution Partner:

This project was out­sourced to mPower Labs from one   of   our   partners,  Tricon   Infotech,   a   Bangalore based IT services company, known for its technical  capabilities   and   delivering   complex   business applications for more than a decade.
